Yowzers, does that egg look good or what?!
As of a few days ago and very belatedly, autumn arrived here in Seattle. I am used to rain setting in around the second week of school, but this September was spectacular—the driest on recorded history. The beautiful, warm sun lasted all the way into last week! At last, we are getting some rain here, and while I may not be wholeheartedly glad for the liquid sunshine, it’s nice in the same way coming home from vacation is nice: your home may not be as glamorous as the place you vacationed in, but there’s nothing like being in your own bed. Welcome back, rain. While I may have been delighted by the sunshine, there’s nothing quite so comforting as hearing raindrops outside my bedroom window in the middle of the night.
These recipes were perfect for welcoming autumn rain:
Spaghetti with Bacon and Eggs
Sweet Potato and Gruyere Turnovers
